Snapshots
of Griffith College - Dublin Site Visit - 2006
The School of Journalism and Mass Communications continues to
stress the importance of gaining international experience in the
global communications marketplace.
It has begun a series of template programs with partner institutions
to help standardize the course transfer process for college credits
earned abroad.
The goal of these template programs is to give students academic
choice at quality institutions abroad in exciting locations.
The template programs will add to the already popular one-on-one
direct exchange programs run by the university, student-selected
programs provided by outside vendors, and the school's very successful
partnership with the Consortium of International Universities located
in northern Italy.
In Jan. 2006 as part of establishing these template programs,
Dr. Kent Sidel and his wife Annette Walker, along with USC Study
Abroad's Jennifer Engel, toured the facilities at Griffith College
in Dublin.
The School of Journalism and Mass Communications
is partnering with Academic Studies Abroad to offer our students
the opportunity to study in Dublin at an established private
college and transfer back to USC credits toward graduation.
These snapshots of the campus reflect the mix of
established and newly constructed facilities. Since these photos
were taken the new media and classroom building has been completed
and additional new dormitory construction continues.
