University, Beijing, China, 1999. One year in the Bachelor’s
Program (2-year program) in Political Science at Zhengzhou
University, Zhengzhou, China, 1996. Drop off to attend the
Master’s
Program at Beijing Normal University.
Associate Degree, History (2-year program), Henan Institute
of Education, Zhengzhou, China, 1995.
Qingjiang Yao worked as a journalist
at an educational newspaper in Beijing, China, for six years
before he joined the Ph.D. program at the University of South
Carolina. An administrator for five years,Yao was in charge
of branding, circulation and managing the newsroom.
As a doctoral student, Yao is a quantitative researcher
interested in media effect and society, political and science
communication. His ongoing dissertation is about the dynamics
among presidential and public opinion, and media coverage
of environmental issues in the past 28 years in the U.S.,
by which he tries to identify the influence-provider and
receiver on the environmental issues in a democratic society. |
