Walsh

Electronic and Print Journalism Sequence
Dan Walsh is a doctoral student in the School of Journalism
and Mass Communications. His research interests include international
radio broadcasting, framing theory and political communication.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from
Appalachian State University in 1992 and a Master of Arts
in Journalism and Mass Communication from Marshall University
in 1999. Dan is currently ABD at the University of South
Carolina.
Walsh started his broadcasting career as a radio announcer
in eastern North Carolina. He also has seven years of experience
in television as a master control operator, production technician,
and promotions writer.
Dan started teaching as a graduate teaching assistant at
Marshall University and taught Public Speaking for two years
at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Concord, North Carolina.
He also taught Journalism 202, Writing for Radio and Television,
for three semesters at USC.
