Frank Mitchell
Broadcast/Engineer Technician

Frank comes to us from Augusta, Ga., where he worked for the past 24 years as the Broadcast Engineering Supervisor/IT Director and Network Administrator for WJBF –TV, a Media General Station.

As the Broadcast/Engineer Maintenance Technician IV for the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, he is responsible for the checking out of cameras and equipment to the students. He is also in charge of the television production studio where he installs, maintains and provides operational support for all the equipment in use.

Frank’s most recent accomplishments were the installation and transition of the television station from tape to tapeless operation. He also is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
