Therese Griffin

Therese Griffin is manager for corporate communications and philanthropy at SCANA Corporation. She is responsible for employee communications, including publications, video communications and the corporate intranet. She also provides oversight for SCANA’s community relations program, which includes corporate giving and employee volunteerism.

Prior to her current position, Griffin worked as director of public relations at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia. She has also worked in radio as a news anchor, and produced and hosted a public affairs television show in the Augusta, Georgia market for many years.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Griffin earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in broadcasting. Through her community work, she serves on the School of Journalism’s Partnership Board and the advisory committee for the Central Carolina Community Foundation. She is also an active member and former president of the South Carolina Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

Griffin resides in Lexington, S.C.
