Butt
For 24 years, Butt has utilized his talents
in marketing, advertising and public relations to change the faces
of the companies and clients for which he has worked and to attain
the positive bottom-line results for which he is known.
Butt's career successes include the 1986 turnaround of the Belk
Department Store - Columbia Group where he served as Director of
Marketing to the South Carolina Affiliate of the American Diabetes
Association, which was ranked as one of the fastest growing affiliates
in the nation during his 4-year tenure as Director of Marketing & Development.
Many of Mr. Butt's locally created marketing, advertising and public
relations programs, created for his clients, have gone on to be recreated
and copied on the national level.
He is also a contributing author to Creative Strategy
in Advertising authored by A. Jerome Jewler and Bonnie Drewniany,
currently in its 7th printing. Butt received his degree from
the Journalism School at USC in 1983.
A recipient of the American Advertising Federation's
G.D. Crain Award for Public Service and the University of South Carolina's
Aid to Advertising Education Award, Butt teaches Advertising Campaigns.
