Title of Position:
Student Assistant, Media Relations
Job Description:
USC Athletic Media Relations is looking for student assistants
to assist in the daily operations of the office. Students
will write news releases and feature stories, assist in the
maintenance of the department’s web site (USCsports.com),
staff home athletic events and assist with research for media
guides and weekly releases.
Skills Required:
Some writing background, including news releases, feature
stories or news reporting; some knowledge of sports.

Additional comments:
Each student will be exposed to working under the pressures
of deadlines and odd working hours. Students may also
learn desktop publishing and design skills (Adobe InDesign
