On-Air Promotion / Creative Services
Internship Program
FSN South (Atlanta) is looking for responsible,
ambitious college TV/Journalism students to work as fulltime
interns in the On-Air Promotion/Creative Services Department.
This person MUST be either a junior or senior, and MUST receive
class credit for the internship. The internship lasts approximately
3 – 4 months, and in most cases, only an individual internship
is offered each quarter (fall, summer, spring). Applicants should have a good understanding of television
production methods, including a solid, working knowledge
of “editing
theory.” Candidates ideally should be skilled in both “linear
editing” (1/2” Beta SP tape-to-tape), as well as
computer-based “non-linear editing” (Final Cut
Pro, Avid, Media 100, etc.). A solid knowledge of sports – preferably
southern sports (Braves, Hawks, SEC, ACC, etc.) - is a tremendous
plus. Individual should be able to both work individually with
little supervision, and also as part of a production team.
A positive work attitude is imperative.
Interns will be required to assist the Writer/Producers
in the daily production of on-air promos. Duties include:
logging
game tapes, editing highlight tapes, on-line research, music
searches, requesting videotape highlights from colleges and
local TV stations, dub editing promos tapes, and assisting
in the general day-to-day activities of the South Promo Hub.
Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to be exposed
to live TV production through our studios, ENG crews, and
remote production trucks.
Please send resumes and cover letters
