Lewis Glen Brierley
November 19, 1930 - April 16, 2008

COLUMBIA - Funeral services for Lewis Glen Brierley, 77, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel, with interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens.

A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to SCOA Cares, PO Box 2046, West Columbia, SC 29171.

Mr. Brierley was born November 19, 1930, in Coventry, RI. He was the son of Esther Eugenia Latondress and the late Louis Joseph Galmiche. He passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008.

Mr. Brierley was a retired professor from the USC College of Journalism where he taught design and was a contributing writer with the Spurs and Feathers paper. He was married to Carol Jean Sellon Brierley for 35 years.

Surviving are his wife of Columbia; mother of North Haverhill, NH; sons, Stuart Brierley of Hamburg, NY, and Bruce Brierley of Crookston, MN; daughters, Kimberly O'Neill of Clearmont, FL, Wendy Godfrey of Anderson, SC, and Pollyanna Buff of Lexington, SC; sister, Doris Johnson of Florida and 9 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father and a sister.
