Jason
Wagenheim is advertising director for Conde Nast Traveler magazine,
New York, directing a sales staff of 20 for a monthly publication
with a circulation of more than 750,000.
He graduated from the
School of Journalism in 1995 with a major in public relations,
and then returned to USC the following year to complete a master ’s
degree in media arts. Upon completion of his master’s,
Wagenheim worked in New York for News Corporation’s in-store
and consumer marketing arm, News America Marketing, as a graphic
designer and later as a marketing manager.
In 1999 Wagenheim joined
Dennis Publications’ Maxim magazine as sales development
director for its web site, Maxim Online, where we was charged
with launching the magazine’s web site. He was later named
the magazine’s first online advertising director.
In 2002 Wagenheim was
promoted to associate publisher of Dennis’s new music magazine,
Blender. He joined Conde Nast Traveler in 2004.
While at Carolina Wagenheim
served two terms as editor-in-chief of The Gamecock and later
as founder and first editor-in-chief of Garnet & Black Quarterly.
He was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa national honor society,
inducted into the USC Hall of Leaders and received USC’s
Outstanding Senior Award and the Outstanding Public Relations
Senior Award from the School of Journalism. He and his wife,
Suzanne, live in Brooklyn. |
