Bretzius, Allison Collins: BA, Public Relations, is working
in public relations at Pool Window and Door Inc. in Newport News,
Va. Allison, maiden name Faye, was married on November 22, 2003.
Brown, Meg
Goss: Advertising,
is serving as investigator at Investigations Service of the United
States. She resides in West
Columbia, S.C.
McCullough, Carrie: BA has joined Harbor House
as director of marketing and managing editor to oversee marketing
operations for the Augusta-based book publishing company.
Robinson, Jennifer
Townsend: BA, is serving as
account executive for Blackbaud, Inc. in Charleston, S.C.

Monica: BA, is the assistant program
director at Glory Communications in Columbia, S.C.
2001
Bonds, Tracy: BA, Public Relations, has been named director
of public relations for the Souper Bowl of Caring in Columbia,
S.C.
She is responsible for all national media and public relations
efforts of this grassroots, youth-led charity that has generated
$24 million
for those who are hungry and hurting.
Coker, April: BA,
Advertising, has been promoted to traffic manager at WSAV in
Savannah, Ga. She currently resides
on Tybee Island.
Crutchlow,
Gayle Haddock: BA,
is working as media buyer/traffic planner for H&W creative/advertising
in Columbia, S.C.
Gombar, Robyn: BA, Advertising, is serving as
sales planner for Turner Broadcasting in New York City.
Hallman, Blakely: BA,
is the advertising & marketing specialist for BlueCross/BlueShield
in Columbia, S.C.
Hutto, Melanie: BA,
Public Relations, has been hired as marketing coordinator for
Coldwell Banker’s Columbia
corporate office.
Lakin, Williesha: BA, has joined The State
newspaper in February 2004. She serves as the features editorial
assistant.
Nichols, Natasha: BA, has been promoted from
advertising coordinator at National Journal Group to business affairs
associate in charge of all sales for Technology Daily,
a National Journal online publication. She resides in Washington,
DC.
Pressley, Malai
Roper: BA, Public Relations,
has started Creative Identity, a public relations and marketing
agency in Columbia, S.C. www.creativeid4u.com.
2002
Abercrombie, Janet: BA, Advertising, is working as administrative
assistant to the president of Chicago Council on Foreign Relations.
In her spare time, she works in graphic design for a local theatre
company.
Fletcher, Melissa: MMC,
Public Relations, has accepted the director of programs and scholarships
position at the
Carolina Alumni Association. After working there as a student assistant
and graduate assistant for four years, Fletcher was very excited
about returning in a full-time position. Previously, she was
the
communications assistant at the Girl Scout Council of the Congaree
Area, Inc. and press officer for the US Canoe/Kayak Olympic Team
at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. (Read the i-Site on

Whitaker, Emilie Moca: BA,
is the marketing director for TNS Media Intelligence/CMAG in
Arlington, Va.
Wright, Martha: BA, is working as a full-time
copy editor for The Washington Post Style section. She
does some page design and handles the Reliable Source column once
a week.
2003
Bartley, Brooke Nichols: BA, Advertising, has been
hired by Carolina Handling, a Raymond lift truck dealer, as a graphic
designer/project coordinator in their Corporate Marketing Department
in Charlotte, N.C.
Beanland, Rachel Moyle: BA,
Public Relations, is working as the public information coordinator
for DHEC’s
Division of Tobacco Prevention & Control. Current projects include
launching South Carolina’s first quitline Quit for Keeps at
1-877-44U-Quit, working with South Carolina’s grassroots
youth movement RAGE Against the Haze, and publicizing other anti-tobacco
programs statewide.
Burkett, Patricia: BA,
Broadcast, is working as a news reporter for WBTW-TV in Florence,
S.C. She began in March
2004 and is a nightcast reporter on some weekdays and all weekends.
Gudridge, Maegan:
MMC, is the director of public relations and marketing for Perkins
Center for the Arts, a non-profit
arts organization offering art exhibitions, concerts and arts education
programs, located in Moorestown, N.J. She is responsible for
public
relations and media relations, advertising and marketing efforts,
publication design and production and Web site management and
maintenance.
Kelly, Kristin: MMC,
has been appointed to the national advisory board for Touchstone
Energy, Committee on Standards & Best Practices. The committee
creates and administers a mechanism for peer review of Touchstone
Energy member cooperatives, finalizes
and communicates program standards, and ensures full compliance
with anti-trust guidelines. Kelly is engaged to be married on
June
3 to Vincent Schutte, a law student at the University of Wyoming.
She resides in Sheridan, Wyo.
Mazurek, Anna: BA, has won the Reuben Gambrell
Award of Merit for one of her photographs she entered at the South
Carolina State Fair in the amateur photography exhibit.
