The 1990's


1991
Denton, Chuck
: BA, is a freelance camera operator/producer in the San Diego area and travels extensively for CBS News and FOX News channel, covering national news events. He shoots NFL and college football games for CBS Sports, ESPN and FOX Sports, as well as MLB, NBA and college basketball. He also owns his own television production company with many national and international corporate clients. Married to a television anchor, he and his wife have a young daughter.


1993
Hudak, Todd Joseph
: BA, is the news editor in the Communications Services Office at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C.  He also serves on the board of the College News Association of the Carolinas (CNAC). 


1994
Bray, Chad
: BA, dropped by to visit friends and professors at the old J-School before checking out Steve Spurrier’s new team at the USC- Central Florida game. He is working in New York for Dow Jones Newswires, covering the federal and state courts in Manhattan. In the past two years, he's had the opportunity to cover high-profile corporate trials, including the criminal cases against Martha Stewart, former Worldcom Inc. chief executive Bernard J. Ebbers and ex-Tyco International Ltd. top executives L. Dennis Kozlowski and Mark H. Swartz. He also covered a widely followed dispute in Delaware last year over a massive severance package paid to former Walt Disney Co. President Michael Ovitz.  The trial led to greater scrutiny about how corporate directors do their jobs. He's been with the wire five years, where he also covered Wall Street and the nation’s top insurers. Prior to that, he worked for The Greenville News and The Augusta Chronicle.


1996
Hollar, Herbie:
MMC, has been announced as a new creative team member for Chernoff Newman, a strategic communications firm headquartered in Columbia, S.C. As a senior art director, Hollar is responsible for graphic support and original design work for the agency as well as the graphic representation of research findings. Formerly a graphic artist for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, he has received numerous industry awards for his work. 

Ward, Alicia Gleiter: BA, is the Marketing Manager for Motley Rice LLC, one of the nation’s largest plaintiffs’ law firms, and has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry.  She will also serve on the marketing committee for the museum. 


1998
Walker, Kerry Roche
: BA, is currently an account manager at Porter Novelli, an international public relations firm.  She specializes in high tech PR and represents Hewlett-Packard’s Infrastructure & Services Solutions for the Small and Mid-Sized Business market. She is married and resides outside of Boston, Mass. 

Whitmore, Chris: BA, after working for several years in radio news, he is now the public information officer at the S.C. Election Commission.


1999
Bakshi, Sherrie S
: BA, is a writer and publisher and co-founded STYLEE PR & Marketing with fellow writer and publicist, Vladia Jurcova in 2004.  She also writes full-time, and her articles have been featured in a variety of magazines including Audrey Magazine, WHERE Charleston, South Carolina Magazine, Destinations Magazine, Charleston Mercury and on Tango Diva.com.
