INFORMATION
FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS
How to apply:
From outside the USC System:
Apply to the University through the Admissions Office and
be accepted. Must
have a minimum cumulative grade point average (on all work previously
attempted) of 2.5 from all institutions attended.
From within the USC System:
If you are a major in another school or college within
the USC system, you must obtain a change of major form
from the dean of that school/college. A
minimum USC and Collegiate GPA (on all work previously attempted) of
2.5 is required.
As a Graduate Student:
Visit the graduate pages of this Web site.
Advisement:
Due to the
large number of transfer students that enter the University
the School of Journalism and Mass Communications encourages
all transfer students to attend orientation.
Foreign Language Proficiency:
Students entering the School of Journalism
and Mass Communications are also required to take the proficiency
test in Foreign Language. If you fail to take the proficiency
test or complete two semesters of the same foreign language
you will be hindering your progression requirements and
may prolong your graduation date.
Transferring Courses:
Course transferability from Technical College within
the State can be found at http://www.sc.edu/admissions/transfer.htm.
If you have any specific questions regarding transferring
courses into the School of Journalism and Mass Communications,
call our Student Services Office at (803) 777-8528.
