Student ListServ
The purpose of the student listserv is to provide students
with up-to-date information about events and opportunities
available to them at the School of Mass Communications and
Information Studies. Internship postings, job opportunities,
scholarship application deadlines, and graduation applications
are just a few of the topics we regularly address.
The student listserv is the most effective and timely
way we have of communicating important information to our
students. Every student should join the Student listserv.
At busy times of the year, you can anticipate receiving
several emails a week.
In order to subscribe, you must use your Gamecock e-mail
address, i.e., username@mailbox.sc.edu
To subscribe:
- Send an e-mail to the following address:
listserv@listserv.sc.edu
- Do NOT enter anything in the subject line.
- In the body of the email type the following:
SUB CJMCUPDT Firstname lastname
Example: SUB CJMCUPDT JOHN DOE
Upon signing up for the student list serve,
you should check your e-mail for a response to ensure you
have been added.
Parent ListServ
The purpose of this listserv is to help parents keep up
with important events in student life.
Sometimes the really important dates (like scholarship application
deadlines) get lost in the shuffle of a college student's
everyday routine. Information in the listserv emails is
general, not specific to an individual student. It is simply
a way for the School to communicate information which might
be of interest to parents.
We anticipate parents would receive one or two emails a
month from this listserv.
