Advisement/Registration
for Spring 2008
If you are planning to attend USC in Summer and/or Fall
2008, VIP registration will begin April 1 and will continue
until the first day of classes for the particular term in
which you are enrolling. Please note that you need to be
advised prior to registering for courses. Pre-enrollment
data will be used to determine which classes will remain
open and which will be dropped for the term. The courses
you want/need to take may not be available if there is not
sufficient pre-enrollment interest.
Before seeing your adviser, review the master schedule
and make out a tentative schedule. Make sure the courses
you select do not overlap in the schedule. If you have an
approved program of study (a full 30- or 36-hour total program
for master's, 48-hour total program for doctoral), you should
check the on-line master schedule and select courses that
appear on your program of study. If you
DO NOT have an approved program of study, fill out a tentative plan to discuss
with your adviser and submit your Master's or Doctoral Degree Program
form BEFORE THE END OF THE SEMESTER.
After getting your adviser's approval, return your advisement
form to the Graduate Office for final approval. You will
receive a copy of your approved
advisement form to use for registering. The other copies of your advisement
form will be kept in the Graduate Office. ALL STUDENTS MUST
HAVE AN APPROVED ADVISEMENT
FORM IN THE GRADUATE OFFICE IN ORDER TO BE CLEARED TO REGISTER BY VIP.
